HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Can we expect to lead a better life without a healthy life? No, certainly not. So basically what is a healthy life?

A healthy life is a life which makes sure that an individual takes the right amount and quality of food intake, right amount and quality of exercise and the right amount of happiness, regularly.

I really believe that what we eat daily has a direct influence on our behaviour, actions and thought process. We must have at least some control on our cravings so as to make sure that you’re not taking too much of anything. A best way to do this is to compete with your cravings (that’s my brother’s way of doing it). He writes the scores down on a board, of victory of cravings or his control. However I do the control thing by leaving particular food items for a particular period of time. Whatever works for you, go for it. Make sure to do a research on which type of body structure you have, as it varies from person to person. Do this to get information on where you store the most of the fat and what makes you gain weight. If it’s carbs, bring down the number of chocolates, sweets and junk intake. Also, I really believe in the concept of “Satvik Bhojan” and if possible I would recommend every person trying it at least once. I once was also moved by a statement Brahmakumari Shivani ma’am made “How can one get life from death?” I hope I gave the message, just as she gave. She says that it’s important to know the vibrations that the food we take possesses. She simply explained like “Can you imagine what vibrations that animal possessed at the time of slaughter; hatred, agony, fear, distress, pain, slaughter, etc. Now imagine when we are taking that animal as our food we are actually taking in those vibrations that the dead body possessed. And then we expect to feel energetic and say it’s healthy for diet. How can one get life from death?” I quoted all she said, and all that moved me. I am a Jain follower and do believe in “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma”, but this scientific theory she explained, made me even firm on it.

So basically have lots and lots of healthy food and cut on your cravings and other junk.

The right amount of exercise is so important. We must be involved in some sort of physical activity or exercise on daily basis. It not only reduces fat and help to lose weight and keep our body healthy, but also gives satisfaction. There is so much of satisfaction in doing something for ourselves. We have such hectic lives going on, but just take out a few minutes or hour to do something for yourself, for your body and for a healthy body image. If gymming or intense workouts are not your thing, then Yoga is the best option. It’s not intense but is hell effective.

At last, a healthy lifestyle is all about being healthy by being happy. Just remember that we have got be happy, no matter what. As I said in the previous previous blog, it is life and it will always have ups and downs. But that is definitely not the reason to stop smiling. Never stop smiling. One way to be happy, that I know, is to appreciate yourself. Okay now this is a weird confession, but I often do it. You need to appreciate yourself, your abilities, your achievements, your appearance and be grateful for everything and value it. Do not go into over stating or complacency.

“LIVE HEALTHY. LIVE HAPPY.”

So that was it. Hope I was able to be of some help and hope you liked the content.

Have a nice day! Bye!
