Towards living a Better Life! (1- POSITIVITY)

Hey! This is the Element 1 of the series “Towards living a Better Life!” (7 February-14 March)

POSITIVITY

Being positive is the most salient thing in today’s life. When a person is positive in his/her attitude, he/she are more likely to be happy, successful and contended. Positivity is not something brought, but felt.

It is important to realise that we are humans and have taken birth to experience good and bad, right and wrong, care and cruelty, love and hate, pleasant and hurtful, ups and downs. And the irony is, we all are at the same place. So what sense does moaning over what bad has happened makes? Rather, looking at the positive side of the world makes it so much better and wiser. Everyone faces challenges and difficulties. No one has got less problems more happiness or more problems less happiness. It all depends and has always depended on us. If a person has everything in the world but not a single thing, either he can be happy for having everything in the world or he can be sad over not having that one thing. What would you do?

Never settle for less and never die for more, be happy and fulfilled with what is just enough to lead a good life.

So in what ways can we be positive?

If you want to know this in detail, then I have written a separate blog on it which you can check out here-

Well, I remember a line Aunt Lucie(from movie: Paddington) said “If you look for the good in people, you will find it.” I really believe that if we just start looking for good even in bad, we’ll be so much positive and happier. Not only in people but in situations and troubles too.

The simplest thing to do is: sit in a quiet and peaceful place, hold yourself up and THINK:- “Although I know it shouldn’t have happened with me, but now when it has, it shouldn’t go in vain. What is the thing which is positive in here? What thing did I learn?” Repeat this to yourself again and again until you get an unbiased and sensible answer. Now see it’s so logical. Let’s assume we are sad because we made a mistake somewhere, not in exam paper but in life. And we do feel horrible but don’t know how to get out of it. Ask this to yourself and wait for the unbiased answer “What did I learn?” It’s obvious that if you have made a mistake, then you might be going wrong somewhere. Now find out that “something”. Once you get your flaw, make your mind that you would never commit this mistake again because now you know what was it’s root cause. Try a little up-gradation, change or an improvement in yourself. And be happy and positive because yeah! You made the best out of the mistake you were sad on and didn’t let it go in vain. You learnt something and would never repeat the old mistake again. You have became a better person. That’s great.

Also, remember that you don’t have to let your chill go just because you are facing difficult times. Look we all have got ups and downs, but that doesn’t mean that we stop living. “The beauty of life lies in trying to savour the happiest moments and to bravely and with laughter fight back with the challenges of life.”

“Try laughing even in the hardest times, it feels really good. After all it’s time, it’s gonna fly. But don’t let your calm go.”

So that was it. Hope I was able to be of some help and hope you liked the content.

Stay connected. See you.
